This limited range of 100% natural Polwarth wool comes from dark coloured fleece that has been hand-dyed to capture the subtle beauty of homegrown and handmade garments.
Each 100g skein is hand-dyed with love and care amongst the flocks that grow the yarn, thus creating a product with very low mileage footprint.
Our fleeces are scoured in nearby Geelong and spun by our talented 'cousins' in New Zealand.
Dyes are low impact and produced in Australia. Each skein has colour intensity fluctuations which produces tonal variations.
> Shearers Bluey - a denim, dark blue with undertones of dark chocolate brown.
> Plonk - a rich, deep maroon colour. Remniscant of a port or Otways Shiraz.
> Fatigues - an olive, green tinge to the natural brown that captures the earthy tones outdoors.
This 8ply/Double Knit weight yarn is robust and enduring - well suited to sweaters and outerwear to take on the outdoors for many years.
For patterns requiring 2 or more skeins, we'll endevour to send you skeins from the same dye batch and we suggest you alternate between skeins every 1-2 rows to create a consistent garment.
